Metal mesh facades are not only an aesthetic finish of the facade envelope. They provide efficient ventilation, as the structure of the nets allows air to circulate naturally and ensures effective ventilation of the façade walls. Mesh facades protect against the sun, as controlled shading of the building reduces the overheating rate of the building and reduces the energy costs required for cooling. A suitable open area of the net shall not restrict the view from the inside. The grids reduce the reflection of wind from the façade, thereby mitigating the strong air currents that form between large buildings.
